We make our puzzles at the coolest puzzle site on the net, JigZone.com!

Here you will find the back log of puzzles we have created for our bi-weekly newsletter, In The News AtTheFaire.

From the September 28, 2001 Newsletter

  • Sign out Front A Knight's Tale starts at 9:30pm.
  • Posing with the Poster — Ooooo Heath Ledger has such GREAT pores!
  • Fund Raising ATF (with the help of the lovely Lady Ampersand and her handsome bard, James) managed to collect $144 to be donated to the New York Firefighters Scholarship Fund to help the children left behind in the wake of the attacks.
  • Dancing Peasant She's seen the dancing scene in the movie, right?
  • Group Shot — Play a game of "Count the Rennies"! And each and every one of them had their meal paid for by JP. Doesn't that make you want to show up at our next outing?

From the September 10, 2001 Newsletter

  • Medici Grove — Did you know that IRF is actually "themed" to be set in medieval Italy?
  • 1996 Mugs We bought one of each style, simply because that was the year Willa started attending IRF!
  • There Be Dragons! What an awesome daily treat for the kids! And we had a blast quaking in fear.
  • WWWow! — What would our puzzles be without piecing together some cleavage? Oh, and some blatant advertising for Willa's Washer Well Wenches.
  • See You Next Year!? This sign tells so much about festival life. There are so many unknowns...

  • ATF's First Evidence of the Existance of Willa — After JP and I started dating, I went back to look through the photos he had taken of the various faires we'd been to at the same time without knowing each other. Oddly, I found a photo with me in it from the 1997 Iowa Renaissance Faire! (Of course, I wasn't Willa back then.)
  • John-Paul Finally in His Own Photo Gallery! Here's a picture of JP at IRF in '98 with Lucy and Marco. For many years, JP took the photos of himself out of the gallery. Now, he likes it when his photo is on the front page of the site ;)
  • JP & Willa, Together at Last Our very first date was a weekend at KCRF in 1999. I'll have to write an article on that someday. For now, here is the first faire photo of us together.
  • Shattock Boys — My how they grow up in just two years...This is Jaspar and Robespierre from IRF '99.
  • Ahh the Memories And finally we have what may very well be my favourite faire photo of all time...Wybreg Village Fall 2000.

From the July 9, 2001 Newsletter

  • A Renaissance Shield — At the front gate was a huge wooden shield that had the festival's name burned into it. Beautiful!
  • John-Paul Videotaping The rose rogue found his magic box again and captured lots of souls.
  • MacFarlane Live Steel To the victor goes the spoils. Or something like that.
  • Minstrosity — Josephine plays the hammered...guitar?
  • Last Huzzah Sway back and forth together as we sing a few songs and spread the pickle love.

  • The Line at IRF 2000 — This was once a good group shot...
  • Wybreg Spring 2000 Royalty I used to love this photo because of the smiling faces...
  • Slater Dubbing This was a very cute photo showing the kids lining up to be dubbed knights or princesses...
  • Kiss from the Crowd — I adored this photo because of the looks on everyone's faces as they blew a kiss to John-Paul...
  • Wybreg Friends This was the photo I cherished because I recognized all the faces in the crowd...

From the April 12, 2001 Newsletter

  • Wybreg Village Spring — This photo started it all...we decided that he had such a good time in getting this photo taken that we would have it become a tradition...and has it ever!
  • Hamlet of Mid-Missouri Where we met our beloved Sheila...a very special faire for us!
  • Iowa Renaissance Faire JP woo'd the fair Lady Melissa and her invisible dragon.
  • Kansas City Ren Faire — Yes, he was being wenched. But I picked this pic because the husband of the lady kissing him is standing in the background...check out that pose!
  • Wybreg Village Fall A great couple of ladies to end the season with. With a face like that, how could you NOT kiss him?

From the March 23, 2001 Newsletter

  • Shattock Schoole of Defence The best swishy-pokey group ever! Are there any others? Everyone else merely does live steel combat...SSD takes it a step further! Taken at IRF 2000
  • Ren Faire of the Midlands The best first impression of a festival. We love this castle facade! Taken at RFotM 1999
  • Ethan James — The best hurdy gurdy player we've ever heard. Okay, you got us...we'd never even heard of a hurdy gurdy until Ethan, but he sure makes it sing! (Pictured with one of the Fairfield Players) Taken at Wybreg Spring 2000

  • Mother Pockets — Hands down, the best faire food we've ever tasted. Her potato soup is the best on earth! Taken at KCRF 2000
  • Old Wine Cellar Winery We're big fans of wine, and nothing loosens up the ol' inhibitions than a nice glass at faire! We've tasted some really good stuff, but we'd have to say that our favourite is Renaissance Red. Taken at IRF 2000

From the February 27, 2001 Newsletter

  • Sir Thomas — John-Paul's idol, Sir Thomas is the ultimate spreader of romance. Taken at Salisbury 1999
  • Rufus the Rude we don't really know how to explain Rufus, but here he is nonetheless. Taken at KCRF 1999
  • Her Royal Highness, Queen Verity the ultimate of ladies, Queen Verity is the person solely responsible for Willa's desire to be a rennie. Taken at IRF 1998
  • Muddy Kisses — when we first met our beloved friend, he was walking around KCRF toting a sign saying "Kisses 1¢. Remember it's the French Weekend." And it just went downhill from there. Taken at HoMM 2000
  • Merlyn and Sauboo this is Willa's favourite faire photo. Merlyn is not only a master magician, but he can make the most fearsome faces! And that troll can sure crack a whip! Taken at Wybreg Spring 2000
